Meet the Soviet Leadership

School: Carnegie Mellon School of Design
Role: Visual design, layout, copy-writing, research, bookbinding

I have a weird affinity for Soviet history. For my self-defined senior project in college, I designed a book that would introduce the Soviet Union’s head honchos. I carefully researched my eight subjects, then wrote all of the copy. The final product was hand-bound with assistance from the ever-patient Joe Dicey, Carnegie Mellon’s resident book-binding guru.

You can check out the book, spread by spread, here. It won Best in Show at Context 2009, AIGA Pittsburgh’s annual design show.
